Hi everyone, I'm Andreas aka 82mhz. That number is also the year of my birth, so you can calculate how old I currently am 
I came across this whole small web thing last year when I joined the Old Computer Challenge and since then I fell deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole of retro computing and personal blogs and all the rest of it.
I'm also most nostalgic for the era of late 90s/early 2000s computing as that was when I was a teenager/young adult, so I have fond memories of these systems and what I was using them for at the time.
And I hate the modern tech world more and more with all the privacy nightmares, enshittification, blockchain, AI etc...
I also still buy DVDs btw because they are dirt cheap if you get them used and the quality I think is still fine, especially for older movies from 2000 and before.
