Connecting MS-DOS 6.22 to the internet — and the fediverse

Microsoft released the last standalone version of MS-DOS as MS-DOS 6.22 in 1994.

Even though this operating system is decades old and a true relic of the past, people still develop new software for it. Thanks to a couple of modern tools, we can connect MS-DOS to the internet. Since just having a connection to the outside world itself is pretty boring, we connect MS-DOS 6.22 to something fairly modern and amazing: the fediverse.

hello im having truble connecting ms-dos 6.22 to the internet i have followed this guide "https://fabulous.systems/posts/2023/08/…-the-fediverse/" but when i do the ping command it doesent work here is a picture of the ping im using PCem as emulator

I don't know exactly how different the implementation of the networking stuff is in PCEm compared to 86Box...

Have you tried if it works with the same configuration if you use 86Box for reference?

Another suggestion: have you tried if you can ping an IP inside your local network?
