Reviewing the page on my iPhone, I noticed something weird—the font rendering for the code blocks was entirely off.

I don't know exactly how different the implementation of the networking stuff is in PCEm compared to 86Box...
Have you tried if it works with the same configuration if you use 86Box for reference?
